Why Not Me? 03:38
There always seems to be another way Another trail, another hill, another day There always one more rainbow left to chase As one dream slowly drifts away you know another takes its place But I know I’m gonna get there eventually And I know I’ve gotta learn to let it be But right now there’s no place else That I have gotta be So why not here? why not now? why not me? It always seems to be somebody else Who gets the girl, who finds the gold, who draws the ace Seems like I’m always on the outside, the outside looking in Seems like I’m always on the outside looking in But I know I’m gonna get there eventually And I know I’ve gotta learn to let it be But right now there’s no place else That I have gotta be So why not here? why not now? why not me? And when I look into your eyes it seems to me you’ve seen the things I’ve never seen you’ve been to places that I ain’t never been It seems to me that you’ve been living You’ve been living seems to me that you’ve been living my dream I’ve chased rainbows from the mountains to the sea And there always seems to be some place I’d rather be But I am more than just another rock and roll wannabe So why not here? why not now? why not me? Yes I know I’m gonna get there eventually And I know I’ve gotta learn to let it be But right now there’s no place else That I have gotta be So why not here? why not now? why not me? So why not here? why not now? why not me? So why not here? why not now? why not me?

about

We first released Cowboy Song as a one-off single back in 2019. We knew immediately that the cowboy’s journey wasn’t over and that we would write more cowboy inspired songs. We didn’t know exactly where he was going but we knew he’d travel alone.

Our cowboy is ultimately resilient. There’s an enduring optimism, almost a touch of defiance about him. Despite the knocks and the setbacks, even though it’s not quite happened yet, the dream remains intact.

We recognised him.
